Dear Donna Sue,

We would like to thank you again for the opportunity to attend your recent presentation of Dying to Live on June 8th at The Downtown Cabaret Theatre. Many of your aspiring artists are former students of mine and we were greatly inspired by their talent and commitment.

I have seen several of your performances in the past and have enjoyed them all. The students at Tisdale School expressed a deep understanding of the underlying messages of the scenes and were interested in finding out more about the performing arts.

I understand the importance of this for our city youth because I was in the drama club at Warren Harding High School and it had a tremendous impact on my development that led me to attain my Associates Degree in Theatre at Grahm Jr. College in Boston through a fully funded scholarship.

Without appropriate funding and the ability to participate in the performing arts and other outside activities, our youth in the City of Bridgeport and elsewhere may not otherwise be aware of the endless opportunities that exist. Incredibly enough, the learning experience continued for our Tisdale Students as they boarded the bus and excitedly read the brochure all the way back to the school, so even your program had an educational component.
